You have lost your phone and are sure you will never be able to get your contacts back? With MTN Save My Contacts, losing a phone will no longer make you lose your contacts.
What is it?
MTN Save My Contacts is the service for backing up and recovering your contacts without capacity limitation, wherever you are, whatever your phone type, and without any hassle.
How does it work?
Via SMS
- To subscribe, send OK by SMS to 8757
- Click the Y’ello MTN Button
- Choose “Advanced Services”
- Then click on “MTN Save My contacts”, “Backup/Restore” and OK.
Through the App
- Download the App “Save My Contacts” on AppStore ou PlayStore
- Trigger the synchronization by choosing « Backup » or « Restore »
- Enter your phone number
- Click on « Identify ».
To unubscribe, send STOP to 8757.
How to backup your contacts ?
Backing up is automatic every week once you have subscribed to the service. But you can also do it manually through the following steps:
- Click on the Y’ello MTN icon on your phone
- Choose « Advanced Services »
- Then click on « MTN Save My Contacts », « Backup/Restore » and validate.
Or
- Launch the application
- Click on backup.

How to restore your contacts ?
Synchronizing or restoring is the same process.
If some contacts are missing in your new SIM card, they will be restored through synchronization.
