MTN Cameroon and the Cameroon Bar Association Convene legal professionals to Advance AI, Cybersecurity and Digital Trust

Douala, Cameroon – 01 July 2026 – MTN Cameroon, in partnership with the Cameroon Bar Association, today hosted a Lawyers’ Community Meetup as part of Legal Week 2026 at the Krystal Palace Hotel in Douala. The event brought together legal professionals, business leaders, technology experts and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of legal practice in an increasingly digital world.

Discussions throughout the day explored the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence, Digitalization and Information Security Governance on the legal profession, highlighting how these developments are reshaping legal service delivery, strengthening cybersecurity frameworks and redefining trust in digital ecosystems.

The Lawyers’ Community Meetup marks the opening of Legal Week 2026, a series of engagements organized by MTN Cameroon’s Commercial Legal team from 1 to 9 July 2026, aimed at promoting legal excellence, digital awareness and multi-stakeholder collaboration. It was designed to support legal professionals in navigating the rapid technological changes transforming the practice of law. Through expert discussions and practical demonstrations, participants explored how artificial intelligence, digitalization and cybersecurity reshaping legal service delivery, strengthening information security and redefining trust in the digital age.

The initiative also reflects MTN Cameroon’s commitment to supporting the Cameroon Bar Association in promoting digital readiness across the legal profession, while fostering dialogue on the skills, tools and frameworks required to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven environment.
