MTN Roaming allows you to use your MTN Cameroon SIM card abroad in over 200 countries. You can make calls, send SMS, and browse the internet at affordable rates.

Prepaid Customers

• Roaming is automatically activated.
• You can use:
  • Main account balance
  • Country bundles: Dial *123*15*1#
  • Regional bundles: Dial *123*15*2#

• Prepaid customers should deposit at least 5000 XAF in their main account before traveling.

Postpaid Customers

1. Contact your account manager before departure.
2. Deposit 100,000 XAF to activate roaming.

If your phone doesn’t connect automatically, follow the manual network selection steps below. Ensure you have enough airtime or Mobile Money balance before traveling.

For I Phone: 

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap
3. Tap ‘Cellular Network’ or ‘Network Selection’.
4. Tap the Automatic switchto turn off.
5. Once available networks appear, tap the desired carrier. Allow up to 2 minutes for carrier listing.
6. Look for signal bars or a carrier name on the display to indicate that you have connected to the network.

For Android

1. Open Settings
2. Tap Connections
3. Tap Mobile networks
4. Tap Network operators
5. Manual Network: deactivate the ‘Select automatically’ option and select the desired network.
6. Restart your device
