MTN Giga Surf
The Giga Surf offer is an Internet-only offer, which entitles customers to daily deposits of connection volume for the duration of the Internet bundle. This gives customers greater control over their Internet bundle. It offers customers the possibility of purchasing a large volume of internet connection for a period of 3 days, 7 days, 15 days, and 30 days (01 month). Here are the different codes and bundles :

Mobile Internet is fast and powerful todays, but it’s important to understand how it works so you don’t think your bundle is disappearing “for no reason”. Here are some essential facts about data consumption.
- Tips for optimizing streaming consumption
Do you stream movies and videos? What you need to know:
- Netflix in HD (720p) → approx. 1 GB/hour
- Netflix in Full HD (1080p) → approx. 3 GB/hour
- Netflix in 4K Ultra HD → approx. 7 GB/hour
- YouTube in 480p → approx. 300 MB/hour
If you want to watch movies, videos and play games online, think about:
- Lower video quality (480p instead of 1080p).
- Download your videos over Wi-Fi and watch them later.
- Use streaming bundles like Giga Surf (*157*5# / *123*3*2# then 5) or special streaming bundles at *157*3*6# / *123*3*2# then 3 then 6.
2.Tips for optimizing consumption by downloading videos
The higher the resolution of a video, the more data it consumes. Downloading a 4K movie takes up to 10 GB! If you want to save your connection, avoid downloading HD videos.
Tips :
- Prefer light formats (480p or 720p).
- Download using Wi-Fi, not mobile data.
3. The more powerful your phone is, the greater the volume of Internet connection it consumes.

- What is Classic Internet and Giga Surf?
Internet classics and Giga surf are Internet bundles available to all MTNC prepaid customers.
2. What’s the difference between classic Internet and Giga Surf?
- Mobile Surf subscribers benefit from a single provisioning of all purchased connection volume with a specific validity.
- Giga Surf bundles are daily quota bundle where subscribers are supplied on a daily basis depending on the bundle they subscribe to.
3.Who is eligible to Internet and Giga Surf?
All MTNC prepaid customers are eligible for these bundles.
4.How is the volume of the Giga Surf package provisioned per day?
Each day, the customer is provisioned according to the bundle to which he has subscribed for a period of 24 hours. The next day, he receives his daily allowance for a further 24 hours, and so on for the duration of his Internet bundle.
NB. If the subscription is made at 12:00, the next volume will be positioned at 12:00.
5.How to access classic and giga surf internet bundle
You can access the Classic and Giga Surf internet bundles via one of the following channels: (USSD *157#, yMTN, MoMo *126#, IVR, Facebook and WhatsApp at 650528787).

7. Why can’t I access the *157# menu from my phone?
Depending on the configuration of certain phone brands, access to the Menu via the *157# code does not work. To access the Internet bundle portal, if *157# doesn’t work on your phone, enter *123*3*2#.
8. Can I subscribe to several bundles at the same time?
Yes, I can.
For classic Internet bundle: The next bundle will take over after the first one has expired, depending on the time of subscription.
For Giga surfs bundle: The next bundle will take over after the first one has expired.
9. How long does it take for my purchased bundle to be positioned in my account?
A maximum delay of 20 seconds
Nb: Network disruptions may slightly delay the implementation of the bundle.
10. What do I do if I can’t surf?
- Check your balance at *123*99#.
- You can move a few steps if the reception signal is weak.
- The problem could be that your area is not well covered by the network.
- This can also be due to network disruptions (technical incident; fiber failure). If this is the case, your Internet connection will be fluid again once the incident has been repaired.
11.What if I don’t have an Internet connection but I still want to surf?
