INTRODUCTION

MTN Foundation is a non-profit institution founded in Cameroon for the well-being of communities. MTN Foundation, since the launch of its activities in 2005, has played a major role in improving digital inclusion in Cameroon, particularly in rural areas, by setting up Digital Centers and offering digital training programmes.

A total of 72 Digital Centers have already been installed by MTN Foundation since its creation, thereby giving access to the new digital world to almost 150,000 students and 10,000 teachers in the 10 regions of Cameroon.  And much more is still ahead!

This year 2025, which marks 25 years of MTN’s presence in Cameroon, MTN Foundation wants to involve communities in the installation of new Digital Centers.

MTN Foundation, because it believes in pooling efforts and supports a participatory approach with communities, is looking for high-quality, reliable and responsible community partners who care about the well-being of communities and are capable of facilitating the installation of new Digital Centers and subsequently contribute to their proper management and maintenance.

The Foundation’s Y’ello Digital Centers Initiative for the installation of Digital Centers in the 10 regions of Cameroon concerns non-profit-making structures that wish to contribute to the digital transformation of their communities, in particular schools, vocational training centres, municipalities, etc.

Applications from structures that target vulnerable groups (young girls, rural women, people living with disabilities) are strongly encouraged, as well as candidacies from establishments based outside regional capitals.

INFORMATION TO BE PROVIDED

Structures that want to benefit the MTN Foundation’s Yello Digital Centers programme must submit their application to MTN Foundation no later than 11 May 2025 à Midnight.

The application must include the following documents:

1. A presentation sheet of the structure, including

• The name of the structure
• The date of creation
• The head office
• The region
• The e-mail address
• The telephone number
• The number of potential beneficiaries

2. A letter of motivation for this call to express interest, with emphasis on the following points:

• The structure’s mandate and a presentation of its achievements over the last 05 years
• The availability of a space capable of housing the Digital Centre with a minimum surface area of 50 m²
• The level of security of the space
• The structure’s capacity to renovate the available space (painting, ventilation system)
• The structure’s capacity to ensure sustainability of the centre and maintain the equipment offered

The application email should be entitled: Yello Digital Center + Name of locality + Name of the structure.
