MTN Foundation, first corporate foundation in Cameroon, announces the inauguration, on 08 November 2018, by the Minister of Secondary Education, Professor Nalova Lyonga, of the multimedia centre it has equipped and offered to Government Technical High School Douala-Koumassi within the framework of its Digital Schools programme.

The multimedia centre offered to Government Technical High School Douala-Koumassi is equipped with over thirty brand new modern computers and enjoys high-speed internet connection.  This state-of-the art centre functions with an innovative Cyber Cloud solution which has numerous advantages, notably the possibility to benefit permanent remote assistance.  The donation also comprises other materials such as a video projector, printer, external hard discs, furniture, etc.

The multimedia centre of Government Technical High School Douala-Koumassi is part of a batch of 15 multimedia centres equipped by the MTN Foundation in Secondary schools of Cameroon this year, thereby taking to 65, the number of multimedia centres equipped by the MTN Foundation within the framework of the Digital Schools programme. These 65 multimedia centres today benefit over 100,000 students and roughly 10,000 teachers in secondary schools across the 10 regions of the country.

At the sideline of the ceremony to inaugurate Government Technical High School Douala-Koumassi, organized in presence of the Governor of the Littoral region, Samuel Ivaha Diboua, and Chief Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon, Hendrik Kasteel, MTN Foundation signed a new Partnership Agreement with the Ministry of Secondary Education which will enable the Foundation to install more multimedia rooms and equip science laboratories in secondary schools in Cameroon.
